Welcome to the PMI Southern Alberta Chapter’s 2011 Professional Development Conference, where the theme this year is “ready.set.go - Today & Tomorrow: Evolution & Change in Project Management”. Our conference provides an opportunity to increase your knowledge and capabilities and to provide critical value to our organizations. Once again, we are pleased to offer a world-class line-up of speakers, workshops, networking opportunities, Birds of Feather sessions, and facilities.

So on behalf of the Board of Directors of PMI-SAC, welcome! In addition, a special thanks goes out to the Conference Chair David Kent, and to the incredible and talented team that has been assembled to run this event.

It is with genuine excitement that I invite you to join us in Calgary for the PMI-SAC 2011 Professional Development Conference. 2011 marks the sixth year that the PMI Southern Alberta Chapter has hosted a yearly Project Management Professional Development Conference The conference team believes the role of this conference is to bring relevant content to the Project Managers in Southern Alberta. Every year the team strives to bring new and diverse elements to the conference. This conference provides a remarkable opportunity for the project management community to address new challenges, to share solutions, to discuss future directions and to network and share new ideas. I hope the lineup we’ve gathered will challenge your thinking and leave you inspired about the direction of our professional practice.

On a personal note, I can now tell you that organizing a conference is not exactly what we are trained for… It requires the help of many volunteers that contributed many hours to make it successful.
